Sermon title: Benefits of Fearing the Lord (Psalm 145:19)

Sermon Duration: 1 hour

Psalm 145:19 says that, “He will fulfill the desire of them that fear Him. He also will hear their cry and will save them.” Amen. This is the main text or scripture for our revival. The Bible said that He will fulfill the desire of not just anybody, but anyone that fears Him. The Bible says that the people that fear God are the ones whose desires God will fulfill. I believe that this morning you’ve written on the prayer requests that you have in your hands, every kind of expectation that you desire God to meet in your life. Now the Word of the Lord is that God will fulfill the desire of them that fear Him. The question is that, “Do I fear God?” From Monday we’ve been talking about it, and have prayed since then; and we’ve all seen our weaknesses, thoughts and shortcomings when it comes to walking in the fear of the Lord. I believe that we’ve prayed, and cried unto the Lord; and I also want to believe strongly in my heart, that everybody on this line is now walking in the fear of the Lord in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Our God is a merciful God, and so if you messed up before Monday, and you were not walking in the fear of the Lord; and if you were not doing the things that God wanted you to do, I believe that you came on the line, you heard the word of the Lord, you allowed the word of the Lord to sink into you, you cried for mercy, and the Lord God Almighty who is a merciful God heard your prayer. I can see people who fear God on this line. I’m not seeing just ordinary people on this line this morning, but I’m seeing God-fearing men and women who are ready to walk in the fear of the Lord and do the things that God tells them to do. If there is any God-fearing woman or man on this line, can I hear a big “Amen” from that person in the name of Jesus?

If you’re a God-fearing person, everything we’re going to talk about before we get into prayer applies to you. Don’t let the devil tell you that because you messed up yesterday, you’re not God-fearing. You are God-fearing in the Name of Jesus Christ. I believe that whatever it is, if you asked for forgiveness, God has forgiven you. You are a God-fearing person. Now I want us to briefly go through what the benefits of fearing God, and walking in the fear of the Lord are.

If I walk in the fear of the Lord, what does the Bible say are the benefits that I’m going to receive? The first one is what we’ve already read, about the fact that God will fulfill every desire of ours. When we cry, God will answer and save us. That is the first one. So today, the fact is this that there is no way that God can deny you that request from coming to pass in the Name of Jesus Christ, because you’re a God-fearing person, and because God has positioned you this week to be a God-fearing woman or a God-fearing man. You are a God-fearing person and God is going to make sure that every desire that is on your heart comes to pass, especially those desires that agree with His will, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen

Let me give this to you in a way that will enable you to write it down. Number one is what we’ve already said. I want us to spend a lot of time to pray this morning. I want us to spend a lot of time in travail. If nothing has happened in your life since you started going to church, it’s going to happen this morning. Amen. Something is going to break forth in your life. Some of you are going to have some kinds of experiences that you’ve never had before. The fire of the Holy Ghost is already burning on this line in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen

So the first benefit of fearing the Lord is that He will fulfill the desire of the heart of those who fear Him. So God will fulfill the desire of our hearts. Number two, the fear of the Lord brings blessing in the time of difficulties. I know that what that anointing is going to do in this anointing service is that it’s going to make sure that you’re covered even in times of difficulty. It is the anointing that is going to keep you. It doesn’t matter what is going to happen in this country in the years to come, in the weeks to come, or in the months to come; this anointing is going to sustain you because you fear the Lord. This anointing is going to confirm whatever God does for those who fear the Lord in time of difficulty.

Turn your Bibles with me to Psalm 33: 18-19. It says that, “Behold the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear Him, upon them that hope in His mercy”. Are you a God-fearing person on the line? If so, the eye of the Lord is upon you this morning. Amen. The Bible says that “The eye of the Lord moves to and fro on the earth to show Himself strong on those whose heart are perfect before Him.” But right now I see the eye of the Lord being fixed on you, where you are, whether you’re in your car; whether you’re in your room; whether you’re in the office, wherever you are. You’re not by yourself, for the eye of the Lord is fixed on you. Why is the eye of the Lord fixed on you this morning? When this oil touches you, when this oil that we’re going to pray over touches you, what is going to sink into your life is amazing. The Bible says that “The eye of the Lord is upon them that fear Him, upon them that hope in His mercy, to deliver their soul from death and to keep them alive.” Amen. “To deliver their soul from death” means that “You will not die. I don’t care what the doctor is saying; no matter how many demons have risen up against you; I don’t care who is saying what against you, the eye of the Lord is upon you, and God says that after this anointing service, you will not die, because He will deliver your soul from every death. Anything that the witches, wizards, principalities and powers, rulers of darkness, princes of wickedness in high places have put together against your life, will not destroy you. The Bible says that “He will deliver your soul and keep you alive in time of famine.”

In time of famine” means in time of difficulty. The time of famine is the time of heartache. A time of famine is a time where there is not enough for a lot of people; where there is no rain upon the earth; where people are suffering; where people don’t know what to do. It’s this kind of time that we find ourselves in. Even right now, the Lord is saying to somebody on the line, that His eyes are upon you. And because His eyes are upon you, you will be free from every kind of difficulty. Don’t try to say that you are tired of it. Don’t try to put your tongue in the stew of unbelief. You are different. The Bible says that the eye of the Lord is upon you. If your spiritual eyes were opened and you could look up, you would see God looking down on you, in the Name of Jesus. So this morning when this anointing service starts, when this anointing oil or whatever you have touches you, oh it will cause the eyes of the Lord to come upon you. I’m not talking about for one day; I’m not talking about for sixty days; I’m talking about all the days of your life. Amen. If the devil plans anything, I tell you, God will deliver you from death, even in this time of famine. If you’re ready for that and you believe that this is what is going to happen in your life, can I hear a big Amen?

The third point is that the fear of the Lord brings blessing on your children; not only on you, but on your children. When this oil touches you, it’s not only going to make you somebody that is blessed, but the blessings will be so great that it will spill over onto your children. God told Abraham that “I’m going to bless you so that you become a blessing.” The blessing on you will be contagious. Anybody who touches you will be blessed. Anybody that comes around you and around anything that you have will be blessed.

 Turn your Bibles with me to Psalm 112: 1 and 2. Those of you who have children who are going through all kinds of difficulties, with the devil attacking them; those that are going wayward; those that are being disobedient , this anointing service will settle the issue in the Name of Jesus. Amen. If you have this anointing on your life, you will open your mouth and say what you want to say, even over that child of yours, and will cause the peace of God to come upon that child; on that daughter, on that son, because the anointing that will come upon you will be so strong that whatever you decree will come to pass in Jesus’ Name. Amen. Psalm 112: 1 and 2 says that “1. Praise the Lord. Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who finds great delight in his commands.2.His children will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed.” The Bible says that “Blessed is the man that fears the lord that finds his delight in his commandments”. If you fear the Lord, you are qualified for this scripture.

The Bible says that “his children,” meaning those whom he has brought to this earth through you, who are depending on you, shall be mighty upon the earth. If the devil told you that that child of yours was good for nothing, tell the devil that “Because I fear the lord, the Bible says that my seed shall be mighty.” I don't care whether your child was able to go to college or not; I don't care whether he has a job or not; I don't care whether he's even saved or not; all I know is that from today forth, when that anointing touches you, you will open your mouth and decree some blessings into the life of that child of yours. That seed of yours shall be mighty. You are not going to bring a vagabond into this world. Your children are not going to be vagabonds, and today that issue will be settled by the power of the Holy Ghost. Those of you with children that are in jail, they are going to come out because they can't be mighty and remain in jail, in the name of Jesus. Supernatural occurrences that would get them out of jail will take place. They won't understand why it happened or why it took place, but I believe it will happen because today the Lord released an anointing upon your life that affected your seed, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

The forth benefit of fearing the Lord is found in Psalm 34:7. It says that, “The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.” This anointing will bring deliverance from every power of darkness. Those of you that are being tormented and tortured, there's no witch, no wizard, no voodoo that can come against you anymore, when this anointing service starts and that oil touches you. You'll be covered because you fear the Lord, in the name of Jesus Christ. Angels of the Lord will encamp around your property, your children, your house and wherever you are. “Angels encamping around you” means that they are on assignment. From today onwards, angels will be on assignment in your life, in the name of Jesus.

Those of you who have been seeing demons and witches in your dreams won’t have to worry today because I can see an angel of the Lord on assignment in your life, in the name of Jesus. The bible says that they will encamp around you and deliver you from the hand of the enemy. This is what the anointing service is going to do in your life. This morning if you’re ready I want you to shout Amen!

The fifth benefit of fearing the Lord is that this anointing will cause God to reveal secrets to you. God is going to give you wisdom, knowledge and ideas. We’re going to be praying for a while, and as we pray apply these scriptures. Read them out as you pray. Confess that “I am a God-fearing man or woman, and this is what is going to happen in my life, because this is what the Word says. Psalm 25:14 says that “The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.” Those of you who have gotten to a point where you’re confused about what to do, and don’t even know which way to turn; this morning the Lord’s anointing and power will come upon your life. Some of you need direction in your business; you need direction as to which way to go. When the Lord’s anointing and power comes upon you, you’re going to receive wisdom and knowledge to be able to progress in life. Most of these big businesses that we see today didn’t start because of the greatness of the person who started it, but because one day he sat down and had an idea, and pondered over it over and over again, and as a result he oriented himself in the right direction. God is going to give some of you ideas, and reveal some secrets to you and give you some kind of wisdom that will catapult you into your destiny and into your greatness, after this anointing service, in the Name of Jesus. Amen.

The sixth benefit of fearing the Lord is that it brings healing to our bodies. I don’t care about how long the sickness has been there; I don’t care about what the doctors have told you; I don’t care about the amount of pain it causes you every day; this morning it will all end. If there’s anybody on this line with pain in their heart, deliverance is here right now in the name of Jesus. Malachi 4:2 says that “But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.” This morning the Sun of Righteousness has arisen on this line. That back pain will leave you this morning in the Name of Jesus Christ; that eye problem will leave you in the Name of Jesus Christ; that high blood pressure will normalize in the name of Jesus Christ. Those of you who are sitting in wheelchairs, get ready to rise up, because when the healing wings of the Sun of righteousness comes upon us, you can never remain sick in the name of Jesus Christ. I see the healing wings of the Sun of Righteousness waving over everybody on this line.

Finally, this anointing will bring a distinction between you, being a believer, and unbelievers. Sometimes we get to the point that we think that those who don’t even go to church are making it, and we say to God, “Look at Stephen, he doesn’t even go to church and he’s driving a BMV and has three houses and so on and so forth.” Sometimes the devil causes us to focus on some of these things, but the Lord wants us to focus on Him this morning because He’s going to do something wonderful. Let’s turn to our last scripture before we enter into prayer. Malachi 3:15 says that, “And now we call the proud happy; yea, they that work wickedness are set up; yea, they that tempt God are even delivered. Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it….” Note that the people who were making these statements were those that feared the Lord. They were saying that “Those wicked people are prospering; even those who don’t believe in God are making it.” The Bible says that the Lord heard it. Now let’s see what the Lord’s response was. The Bible continues to say that,”… and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.” My goodness! I want you to take note of that.

This morning, some of you have done so much in the kingdom of God. Listen to this, some of you have sown seeds into ministry; you’ve done this and that; you have served the Lord; you have spent time in the house of the Lord; you have done so much; and you’ve been told that when you do that, you’re going to be blessed; and you have spent time in fasting and prayer and it’s as though nothing is happening. But the Bible is saying that today, God is going to open the book of remembrance, because whatever you did was not in vain. And when God opens up the book of remembrance, He’s going to bring up everything that you did and give you all that you need to get blessed. The blessing of God will be released into your life right now. The Bible continues to say that, “And now we call the proud happy; yea, they that work wickedness are set up; yea, they that tempt God are even delivered. Those who feared the LORD spoke to one another, and the LORD gave attention and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who fear the LORD and who esteem His name. "They will be Mine," says the LORD of hosts, "on the day that I prepare My own possession, and I will spare them as a man spares his own son who serves him. So you will again distinguish between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve Him.” So God is saying that, “I’ve heard all of you, and what I am going to do this morning is to release my grace on you.” Now, jewels are very precious; and you don’t take out jewels unless you have a very special occasion to attend. God is saying that He has something very special that He is going to release this morning. Now what caught my attention in verse 17 was that it said that, “In that day…..” How many people know that today is that day? He says “in that day…”

In the time of Esther, Mordecai was in captivity in a foreign land, but one day, something that he had done in the past was revealed when the book of remembrance was opened, and that day, Mordecai was promoted. “That day” is your today in the name of Jesus. Amen. You are going to see the hand of God in your life, and you will be able to distinguish between you and them. God is going to draw a line after this anointing service. We’re tired of walking and behaving like unbelievers, going through the same things that they’re going through and struggling the same way they’re struggling. This morning I see God drawing a line of demarcation with this anointing service, and you will be different. The Bible says “Arise and shine, for the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.” It also says that “Darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people, but God says to his people, I the Lord shall arise upon thee; my glory shall be seen upon thee.” The glory of the Lord is on this line, and it shall be seen on everybody after this anointing service is over in the Name of Jesus. Amen.

Pick up your anointing oil and raise it up, in the Name of Jesus Christ. “Father, we want to give you praise. I thank you Lord. In the hands of your people are the bottles of anointing oil. Let them receive power. I pray that your glory and your power will be released into this anointing oil. As they begin to anoint themselves with this oil and they begin to pray, oh Lord, let something that has never happened before break forth in their lives, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Thank you Father for answered prayers, in the name of Jesus. Amen. I release God’s power upon that anointing oil, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

I want you to take that anointing oil, and anoint your head, your eyes and your ears. Men of God and pastors, you want to anoint your lips so that your speech will cut through the hearts of people. Those of you, who are in any kind of business, anoint your hands. If you’re sick in any part of your body, you want to anoint that part f your body. Those of you with high blood pressure, I want you to anoint that area near your heart. In the next 15 minutes, something is going to take place in your life that has never happened before. We’re going to stop around 5:40am. Those of you who want the anointing, and the power of the Holy Ghost upon your life, this is your opportunity to receive it. Now open your mouth and begin to pray.

Now, lift up that prayer request and anoint it with some oil. What you’re doing is using it as a point of contact to anoint anyone whose name is on the list. If you have pictures of anyone whom you want God to touch, anoint that picture with oil. Now I’m going to read the scripture that we’re going to use for the revival. Listen to it carefully, and in the next ten minutes, God is going to do something on this line. Psalm 145:19 says that, “He will fulfill the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them.” I don’t know what you’re crying about this morning, but the Lord says that He will hear your cry. Verse 18 says that “The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.” So this morning the Lord is going to hear your cry. Lift up that prayer request one more time and pray.

Let’s sing this song as we wave our prayer requests before the Lord;
“How great is our God, How great is His name;
He’s the greatest of all, Forever the same;
He rolled back the waters Of the mighty Red Sea,
And He said I’ll lead you, Put your trust in me.

From now on, your life will never be the same. Amen. Some of your eyes have been opened. Some of you are supposed to enter into business, but you think that you can’t make it. In the midst of this financial crisis God is going to cause that idea to explode into fruitfulness in the name of Jesus. Doors have been opened and new jobs have been released, even in the midst of this crisis; marriages have been healed; people who are not getting saved are getting saved in the name of Jesus Christ; husbands and wives who were not getting saved are getting saved in the name of Jesus Christ. We give you praise oh Lord, we thank you Lord, in the name of Jesus Christ. We glorify your holy name for what you have done. We thank you for your visitation on this line; we thank you for your glory on this line. Father we thank you for the people that are on this line that have been impacted by your presence in the name of Jesus Christ. How many of you feel it? It’s like a wave, and it’s coming upon you right now. The anointing of the Lord is coming upon you right now. The fire of the Holy Ghost is coming upon you right now, from the crown of your head to the soles of your feet. Receive it now in the name of Jesus. Your life will never be the same after today. You will always remember this meeting as the anointing service that changed your life forever. Amen. We thank you Father for what you have done. We give you glory for what you have done. We worship you for what you have accomplished in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
